Chapter 37
Alpha Maseno
I was at my office and on a video call having a discussion with our foreign investors when the guard from outside rushed in and interrupted the meeting.
I glared, causing him to bow his head and mumble sorry. The investors, on the other hand, were already furious and were complaining about my lack of work ethics. I narrowed my eyes at them and raised my hand to shush them. They silently leaned in their chairs, their shoulders slumping back. They remained silent, though they all pursed their lips in anger.
I couldn't blame them, though. I would have hated it when someone would end up talking to people in the background or pressing their phones when I was in a call with them. That's what I have been doing since the moment I started talking to them.
They were some things that Beta Kelvin had told me and had taken a troll on me. Although three months had passed and nothing had happened, I still couldn't stop myself from thinking deeper into all that.
