How could he have thought that he and his brothers could deal with whatever it was by hiding?

Elio walked the room picking up the things that were his and dumping them in his small backpack, he had to leave before dahlia got to find out about him and his entire life had been a lie to get close to her. His conscience pricked him that he had lied to her for months but it was the least of his worries at the moment.

He needed to come up with a plan to get his brothers and their love interest’s out of Jose’s grip first before he’d think of how he’d reveal himself to Dahlia.

He heard Ricky’s car honk just outside the apartment and he had to rush through what he was doing before Dahlia arrived from where she went. He scanned the house for anything he might be missing, there was none. He threw his bag to his back and made for the door, his eyes caught the sticky note on the kitchen slab and he decided to drop a note for her.
