Elio watched in relief as Jessie kept Melissa busy with chit-chats they had not been able to engage in because of the distance between them.

Besides him being in a relationship with Melissa and loving her like his life depended on it back then, one other person he knew had a soft spot for Melissa was Jessie. He was always quick to push Elio into settling whatever misunderstanding he had with Melissa during the course of their toxic relationship; even though Jessie could see that Melissa was always at fault.

Remembering the numerous times he had gotten calls from people about her numerous philandering; some with picture proofs and others with the location of her cheating scenes, Jessie always found a way to always get him to sort things out between themselves.
