Chapter 42

The next day May woke up and hurried to check on Blessing but she found her sitting in the living room, already showered and dressed like she was on her way out. May arched a brow, even last night after everything they were told she did not have a break down. She did not scream at Mark either. She just walked out of the house and into the car.

Even when they got home there was this numbness to her. May was genuinely scared for her friend but she sucked at consoling people, so she was just going to be there for here for as long as she would have her.

“Bee, are you going somewhere?” May asked her as she approached her. She was dressed in a floral top and a pair of jeans, paired with white sneakers. Her face was bare but her hair was neatly packed. Just then she took out her lip gloss and she applied it.
