Blessing's POV

I walked straight to where the brick was, picked it up, and used it to hit him on the back of his head. I tried not to hit him so hard, but he still went down. Not wanting to know if he survived or not, I grabbed Lexa and pulled her to her feet, then pulled her out of there. When we were at a good distance, and the man was not following up, I called 911 just in case, reported the incident, and trashed the burner phone I had learned to use after we got out of the hands of those kidnappers.

Crazy how I felt safe in the exact same city where I was kidnapped. Those were thoughts for another time; I needed to get Lexa to safety first. The only safe place I knew about was where I was staying.
