Chapter 68

May folded her hands as she sat down on the chair. For a minute, the thoughts of Henry flooded her mind as she thought of what had went down on the store.

Slowly, she moved to her side as she felt uncomfortable in the position she was sitting in. Then, she tried not to think of Henry. She tried not to think of what would be going on in his mind right now.

It felt strange for her to be thinking of someone whose contact details she didn’t have. It felt really strange for her to be thinking about Henry when she is meant to be focused on her husband.

“What are you thinking about?” Peter asked as he approached her. He could see the look on her face. He could see the strange look on her face that bore both desperation and curiosity.

“It is nothing,” May lied. “You don’t have to worry about me. I am going to be fine.”
