Chapter 13

He led her out of the house and it was the first time that she got to actually see the front doors. A beautiful jet black truck was parked outside and she watched as he opened the door to the passenger seat.

She tried to get in herself but she felt his hands enveloping her waist, lifting her up. She tried to hide her surprise. Once she got in, he hovered over her and buckled up her seatbelt. Her cheeks reddened, feeling like a child once again. He was too close to her and even his arm ended up brushing against her chest. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. He should really stop babysitting her.

Once he was done, he closed the door on her side and rounded the truck. He got in the driver's seat and fired the engine. Looking down, she fidgeted with her fingers on her lap and chewed on her bottom lip.
