Jared and I had slipped into something like a comfortable routine over the past few days. He dove back into his culinary groove—flipping omelets, coaxing soufflés to rise like they owed him money—while I buried myself in vlogs, edits, and the occasional impulsive TiKTok dance that made my cat side-eye me. By nightfall, we’d reunite for the pack dinners, our mouths full of chewable gossip and questionable casserole.
