Alpha Kanen’s POV

In the depths of the woods, I grappled with the rage within me. As the sun shines harshly upon the trees.

A perfect place to seek refuge from the judging eyes of the pack.

Rose’s judging gaze, reminded on my mind. Did she fear me now? The pain of knowing that the person you cherished so much is now running away from you made it ten times worse and it broke my heart.

I was losing who I used to be. Even though I was strict and harsh, it was not like this.

As I walked in the woods, broken and shattered. I stumbled upon a hidden spot and collapsed onto the cold ground. The memories of my recent action haunted me, leaving scars on the fabric of our pack and in the hearts of my brothers and mate.
