Alpha Kanen’s POV

We reached the palace, but my mind wasn’t at rest. I immediately regretted coming home while Rose was still out there, somehow. I should have stayed back. Who knows what Rose could be doing, what is she up to? I was deeply in thoughts that I barely noticed that was happening around me.

Some maids and guards bowed down to me immediately after they sighted me but without any sign of response or hesitation, I slowly walked past them still in deep thought. It was written all over my face that I was worried and anxious.

“Hey…what’s wrong with Alpha? I’ve never seen him in such a state before. Did something happen while he was away?” One of the maids who also noticed my facial expression asked one of the guards who were with us to search for Rose in the woods.
