Chapter 45
Alpha Kanen’s POV
I couldn’t because that was how I was, and there was no way out for me. I was the most selfish soul and right now, I wanted her to come to my room. With a sigh, I turned back, and her tears rang in my head like a broken record. It tortured me more than I could have put into words.
The guards were around by the time I got back to the corner that I had being. I wanted to tell them to get lost, but it was not really completely safe to be on mown and I knew that much. It didn’t make me feel better, and instead I felt like a clueless man.
Once again, I moved through the grounds, and this time I didn’t stop but avoided going to the servants quarters, not trusting myself to remain in the dark where she was.
‘I don’t get you, Kanen,’ Darlington grumbled inwardly.
