Alpha Kanen’s POV

My mind was spinning. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

This was my home, my people, and they were being destroyed, all because of Jacklin’s sick thirst for power.

I had to do something, but what? My guards were outnumbered, my people were dying, and the palace was burning. How could I stop this?

Jacklin’s voice pulled me back to reality. “I warned you, Kanen. I told you that I would take everything from you. But you didn’t listen. You thought you could stand against me.”

I clenched my fists tighter. “This isn’t over, Jacklin. I’ll stop you. I swear I will.”

Jacklin laughed, a cold, heartless sound. “Oh, Kanen. You’re still holding on to that false hope, aren’t you?” He stepped closer again, lowering his voice. “But it is over. Look around you. Your pack is gone. Your people have abandoned you. You’re nothing.”

I felt a lump in my throat, but I refused to let him see my weakness. I couldn’t let him win.
