Chapter 64

Alpha Kanen’s POV

I wake up at the early rise of the sun. Rose is still on the bed asleep, and I look at her reddish cheeks as she breathes in and out softly. I walk to the big window beside the bed. Spreading apart the curtains, I take in a fresh breath of morning air. Despite my freshness, I feel a headache coming on and hope the sickness isn’t about to restart.

Checking my phone was a habit I had long lost, as I didn’t seem to have much interest in it anymore. I went through it half absently, careful not to wake Rose and seeing if there was anything of importance I needed to address.

The sunlight through the just opened windows focused on Rose’s face as she had just turned her face towards the other side of the bed. She stirs slightly, and I know she’s about to awake. The headache I feel gets a bit intense every second and I fear the ailment is about to return. I let out a little groan, and l sit down on my sofa, waiting out the headache but it seems to b
