"Let her in at once" I yelled at my guards the moment I spotted my son in her arms. They heed my order and opened the door for her to come in, fear gripped me as I saw her carrying only my son with no sign of Eleanor.
"What happened, why isn't his mother with him? Where is Eleanor" I flooded her with so many questions as panic surged through me.
"Calm down King Derek, let the woman catch her breath first," Lucas said to me calmly as I tried to control my emotions "Hey you" he turned to one of the guards "Call the maids to attend to the baby immediately"
"I am so sorry, please what is your name," I asked apologizing to her for my initial behavior.
"Mara, my name is Mara I am a maid at King Ethan's pack" she replied trying to catch her breath, it was evident that she was tired but I was too worried about Eleanor to care.
