Chapter 104

King Derek's POV

I sat there right on the edge of the bed with Lucas as we had just sent a message to Ethan. My mind wandered off to the event that had happened earlier. Araceli's words reverberated in my mind. I could not help but think about what she had said. Perhaps I should have allowed her to live. She might have been of help. I thought. My mind suddenly wandered to the evil things she told me. All the lies she told me and the deceitful words she said. Maybe she was just telling me another lie just to spare her life. I heaved a sigh as different thoughts ran through my mind. 

My mind wandered off to Eleanor. I had no idea about how she was feeling being at Ethan's pack house. She must be going through hell there. If only she had listened to me, she would have been safe here with her son. I don't blame her, though, Ethan was very manipulative. I know what he was capable of doing. He fed her with lies, and she was blinded by his sugarcoated words. 

Lucas sat
