I noticed my bubble tea being placed atop the display cabinet just as I was about to respond to that charming smile, and I swiftly reached for it. Cradling the cup in my hands, I brought the straw to my lips, closing my eyes and nearly sighing in pleasure as I savored the chewy pearls with my braces. The debate with Kier had certainly been worthwhile.
Kaden was observing me with a playful expression, his gaze drifting to my lips as I licked them upon reopening my eyes. “May I have a taste?” he inquired, leaning in closer.
For a fleeting moment, I tilted my head, contemplating what he wished to taste. He seemed to be focused on either the drink I held or my lips. My cheeks flushed at the thought of him kissing me.
