Chapter 19. Make It
Lilly’s POV
“Urgh,” I moaned, forcing my eyelids open.
A throbbing pain pulsed in my head, and my hand shot to my temple, trying to soothe the ache. The light streaming through the curtains made me squint; everything felt too bright, too crisp, too alive.
I tried to sit up, but the world spun, and I had to steady myself against the edge of the bed.
My gaze shifted to the wide-open window, where the curtains fluttered in the soft breeze and sunlight spilled into the room, warming the space.
“Where am I?” I muttered, scanning my surroundings. “Goddess—how did I get here?”
This was definitely not my room. It was much larger, with tall white walls glowing yellow in the sunlight, adorned with simple but colorful paintings. An old desk filled one corner, and a small, inviting sitting area occupied the other. The tiny kitchen looked cozy and warm.
