Chapter 36
Summer POV
“Let me out!” I slammed my boot against the trunk door, but it was useless.
I heard them laugh, and my heart dropped to my stomach.
“No,” I whispered and rolled to my side.
The car roared to life and backed out of the property. I was right, my wolf was on the property. She was so close but yet so far.
My heart ached for Ezra. I knew a door couldn’t stop him, not even if it was made of silver.
I stuffed a knife from the duffel bag in my boot, but it wouldn’t be strong enough to open the trunk. It was worth a shot, though. I pulled it out of my boot and searched for an opening. It was dark I was relying on luck.
“Damn it,” I muttered.
The car swerved and rocked violently until it came to a crushing halt. I fumbled the knife and sliced my palm as a result.
“Ouch.”
