Summer POV

“You’ve been a busy girl, Summer,” Ezra said, planting his hands on his waist.

I bit my bottom lip.

Dad and Ezra stared at me after they told me they captured Bowen, which means Derek’s clean!

“I know I shouldn’t have done it, but I wanted to make sure Derek was clean, and he gave us good information! You caught Bowen. That’s great!” I hurried to the fridge and pulled out some juice.

My mate was right behind me.

“That’s not all you did, Summer.”

He meant my little stunt while he was in a meeting. The fantasy had been nagging at me for so long that it needed to be fulfilled. I bit my bottom lip again, trying to hide my smirk.

I turned around to face him, but Dad appeared. My smile faded instantly.

“What else did she do?” Dad asked.

Ugh, the moment was broken.

Ezra cleared his throat. “She's always doing something, Roman. You know how she is. Start the interrogation. I’ll meet you there.”
