Chapter 59

Summer POV

I vaguely remembered Viktor. His sister I knew and she hated me. He had a striking resemblance to Jacob, but if I remember correctly Jacob and Viktor didn’t get along well. Viktor left Broken Creek a long time ago. Though they were cut from the same rotten cloth he could still be a threat.

“What are you doing here?” he asked.

He wore loose black pants while I was completely naked.

“I-I… was just passing by.”

“You’re a long way from Broken Creek,” he said.

I wrapped my arms over my chest. “I know… how far from Whispering Hollow?”

“You’re a long way from there, but why would you want to go there?”

I bit my bottom lip. I didn’t trust him.

“If I wanted to kill you I would have done it a long time ago. You’re on my land after all.”

“I know your Mother has it out for me what if you just hand me over to her?”

He frowned. “I could. I haven’t spoken to her in years. I doubt she knows I’m alive.”
