Chapter 154. She’s Here

The man paused and said, “She wasn’t here when we came. Someone saw that machine men came this morning.”

His voice was very low, but Patrick heard him clearly. He pushed his arms against the bed to sit up, but once his bleeding hands touched the bed, he couldn’t move because of the pain.

He started to struggle. The doctor was worried and pressed him to the bed.

“Don’t move!”

All the people tried to press him. He seemed to lose control and used all his strength to struggle. In the people’s eyes, he was just a body soaked in blood, trembling.

“Commander!” Someone shouted, “You won’t see her again if you die!”

This sentence was like a spell, making that body stay still. Patrick seemed to loosen his body and couldn’t move anymore.

He lay on the bed like a corpse, with his eyes closed.

The people in the room thought that he had fallen back into a coma, and they looked at each other and sighed.
