Chapter 129. Lucas's Victory

I lost count of the hours we spent on air before we arrived in New York. By the time we arrived, I was numb all over, I didn’t fight anymore, and I helped my children who were bundled to prevent the cold from getting to them.

I held them close to my cheats as we entered the car, the nurse beside me. The woman seemed panicked but had kept her cool for hours. I felt so much pity for her, imagining being kidnapped and forced to look after the children of a stranger.

“Hey,” I whispered to her, and she looked at me panicked, I knew she was scared, and the least I could do was assure her that everything was gonna be alright, she looked at me scared and I gave her a small smile.

“Everything, is gonna be alright,” I whispered and she looked at me and nobbed.

“And thank you for looking after my kids I appreciate it,” I added and she looked at me and then looked away. My heart was pounding as soon as the environment started getting familiar, I could feel my heart beat faster
