Calista’s POV

Sitting with Evangeline, Mei, Raven, and Bella on the university bench, our conversation revolved around the upcoming ball. Everyone was buzzing with excitement, discussing their date plans and outfit choices for the evening.

“So, Calista, what are you wearing, and who is your date?” Mei’s eyes gleamed with curiosity, drawing everyone’s attention to me.

I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. A nervous fluttering gripped my chest as I weighed my words carefully. “Um, I… haven’t quite decided yet,” I finally admitted, trying to keep my tone light.
