Ameira’s POV

“Maybe I’m not pregnant, Lexie. Look, I’m fine now, so let’s just go home.” I weakly said to Lexie as she continued driving beside me. I tried not to show my nervousness, but with my stuttering words, she probably knew exactly how I truly felt. It was evident that she would take me to the clinic now after mentioning the word ‘pregnant’ due to my vomiting. This woman was just overacting, and I couldn’t do anything when she dragged me along.

“I’m heading straight to work after dropping you off at the condo, and since the clinic is on the way, we might as well go. It’s better to be sure whether you’re pregnant or not,” Lexie seriously said to me.

I let out a deep sigh at her words and leaned back in my seat, massaging my temples again.

“You know that I can’t get pregnant, Lexie,” I weakly said to her, and various problems immediately flooded my mind.
