Chapter 10. Maria

A week after Maria moved to Chris’s house, Chris showed no change in his attitude. His treatment of Maria was still not friendly. Occasionally, he would snap at Maria. Even though Dawn asked her to report how Chris treated her, Maria never did that.

“Sir, I’ve prepared warm water for you to bathe in.” Maria even added a fragrance in the form of lavender to Chris’ bathwater to calm Chris’ mind.

“I don’t need your help with this. I can do it myself. Now get out of my room.” Chris said coldly. Maria only bowed her body slightly, then left Chris’ room.

After he finished bathing, Chris pushed his wheelchair out of the room and found Maria waiting for him in front of the room. She then walked over to Chris and pushed his wheelchair. Maria led Chris to the dining table for breakfast. Maria prepared Chris’ breakfast deftly.

“Do you want me to feed you?”

“Am I that disabled in your eyes?”
