Michael had planned everything well. He was right. Even if I told Bill, there was no guarantee Bill would capture him. Considering Bill’s ego, there was a high chance that Bill assumed I was his woman. He told me he loved me, but I thought it was not love. It was more like a creepy and dark obsession. 

Who was in the right mind could love a woman but raped her? No one, I guessed. It’s only Bill. The sick and perverted mind was dangerous, as I couldn’t predict his actions. But Cameron … he loved me. I knew he would come and protect me. 

I closed my eyes, trying to think. What else could I do to delay Michael? I bit my lower lip. Then my pup kicked my belly. I took a deep breath. No matter what, I must prioritize my pup’s safety. In the past life, I had sex with Kenneth/Michael because of Constantine’s request. I had a more solid reason to do it now—my pup. 

I rubbed my belly. “Michael, can you promise me you won’t harm my pup? Can you treat me tenderly?”
