Chapter 78. Two Choices

It was awkward to let Mimi serve me. However, as it was a direct order from our Alpha, I must comply regardless of how odd it was. I smiled, knowing that I would be with Cameron again. No more frightening nights, as I didn’t know what our former Alpha (Elder Horace) would do to me. 

At first, I thought he only wanted to separate me from Cameron, so Cameron couldn’t meet me. Yet, when it had been a few days, I was worried that he would torture me. If I weren’t pregnant, I wouldn’t be afraid. I rubbed my belly and sobbed. As a mother, I only wanted to protect my child. 

“Anna, is something wrong?” Cameron asked. I didn’t hear him enter the bedroom. “Did Mimi say or do something that hurt your feelings?”

I shook my head but said nothing, as I didn’t want to create a rift between Cameron and his father. “No, I’m only tired.”

Cameron immediately sat beside me and scooped me until our bodies were beside each other. “I can help you relax, my love.”
