Asher’s POV
“Why the hell are you here?!” Alex said with muscles twitching in his jaws.
“To bury the hatchet, Russo.” I dropped his cold hands and stood next to Aurora and Nora. “Our people do not have to suffer for something that happened a decade ago.”
“You can bury your hatchet in the desert of another continent far from here but there is no settlement till my debts are collected.” Veins pulled up on his forehead out of anger.
“I stand by my story, I never killed your sister,” I said.
“You led her to her death!” His voice raised an octave higher as he spat in fury.
“Well, technically, I played a part.” I shrugged my shoulders. “she was too power hungry and your ruthless father caused it, she died out of an accident.” I sighed.
“That you pushed her too! You were a bad influence in her life.”
