Chapter 11. I Love You Too

It was getting late and we needed to get out of the forest fast. Not that I was afraid—a Lycan King can never show fear—but I didn’t want to put Everly in any form of danger. The fastest way to get back home was by moving in our wolf forms.

I caught a glimpse of her wolf today but it wasn’t very strong. So I shifted back to my Lycan form and crouched down, ordering her to climb on top of my back. She hesitated for a moment and obeyed. As she held tightly onto me, I raced with a lightning speed.

In a quarter of an hour, we were back in the castle.

As we returned home, I noticed Everly was unusually quiet.
