Chapter 40. The Weak Point

I left the library because I couldn’t focus. Meanwhile, Kaelan had aroused my sexual urge and I was a bit honey. One glance at him and I knew he had lost his sexual urge. I headed to my room and took a cold shower, hoping it could calm my nerves.
It didn’t help much but I felt a bit better.
I didn’t want to go to the dining room for breakfast. I wasn’t sure I could handle Kaelan when he pulled a long face.
It has only been a few weeks since we got married and we’re already arguing.
Wait, didn’t we promise each other just a day ago never to argue again?
Sigh.
I sat by the window in my room, and gazed out at the sprawling forest that bordered Crescent Moon territory.
I had a lot in my mind right now but it didn’t stop me from feeling hunger bite the lining of my stomach. I waited for Maria to come. I knew she would come once I didn’t show up in the dining room.
Someone knocked softly and broke my thoughts. “Come in,” I calle
