The emotional stress I was going through must have weakened my entire body. Otherwise, why would I just fall asleep on Kaelan’s shoulder? Moments later, I woke up and he was still there, smoothening my hair with his hand.

“Are you okay, honey?” He whispered into my ears.

I nodded as I yearned. “I’m fine. Just a bit stressed.”

“Don’t let nothing stress you out, okay?” He looked into my eyes. “Do you want to go to the clinic or something? Maybe run a text or two, you know. Let them check if something is going on with your body.”

“I’m okay, Kaelan. No need to visit the clinic.”
