Zion led the way since he was going to introduce me to the priestess. The journey to the priestess’s domain was tedious.

We drove for a while and packed at the base of a mountain. Then we climbed the mountain on foot. We are werewolves and climbing the mountain wasn’t such a big deal.

However, we had to shift and fight a few mountain predators before we made it to our destination.

The smell of ancient herbs made me realize we were near.

I saw a wooden door in the distance, adorned with runes that pulsed faintly, as if it was alive. I raised my fist to knock as we got closer, but before I could, the door opened on its own.

It was dark inside and I couldn’t see a thing. Then I heard someone’s voice from the darkness within. “Come in, Alpha of Crescent Moon.”

I paused, and glanced around. She certainly was something. She knew who I was.
