Chapter 93. The Hunt Begins

I sauntered out of the council chambers and headed out of the pack. But Kaelan caught up to me before I was out of the pack.
“You don’t have to do this,” he said, with a tight voice.
I turned around to face him. “The hell I don’t.”
His jaw tightened. “They don’t have the right to control you.”
“They think they do,” I snapped. “You saw it, Kaelan. They won’t stop until I’m gone. So I have two options, either I leave, or I make them bow to me. That way, I will prove to them that I belong here.”
Kaelan took a deep breath. “You shouldn’t have to prove anything.”
I moved closer to Kaelan and brushed a kiss across his lips, and softened my voice. “I know. But this is a chance for us to be finally free from rogue attacks. Besides, I’d love to see the look on their faces when they’re forced to bow to the person they hate the most.”
“Rogue attacks can only be minimized. It can never end.” Kaelan told me.
