When I got to the gates of Crescent Moon, I shifted back to my human form. I held Zeus’s severed head high and walked in.
Kaelan perceived my scent and rushed out.
Warriors, elders, and shifters alike came out of their various homes and stared, their eyes wide with disbelief.
I held my head high and didn’t stop to talk to anyone.
Owen followed behind, looking proud and satisfied.
As we reached the heart of the packhouse,
I stopped in front of the gathered council members, my gaze locked onto Jonas, the elder who had been so quick to call for my exile.
