I blushed profusely. “Kaelan, I thought we were married.”

“The moon goddess chose the fated bond for us,” he said. “Now I’m choosing you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, my love. You’ve proven to be worthy.”

“Oh I get it. What if I hadn’t proven my worth? Would you have discarded me like a piece of trash?”

Kaelan gazed into my eyes. “No. I fell in love with you from the very start. This is just to let you know that my life would be meaningless without you.”

“Awww!” I stretched out my hand. “I will marry you a thousand times over, Kaelan.”

He slipped the diamond ring into my ring finger and rose to his feet. He pulled me into an embrace and planted a kiss on my lips.

“I love you, my Luna.”

“I love you too, Alpha King.”

He chuckled and released me. He took a seat and urged me to sit opposite him.

He poured more wine into my goblet before pouring some for himself.

For a moment, we just ate in silence
