Chapter 44. Leaving the Memories
Their clothes were torn and dirt stuck to their skin thanks to their sweat. They were bloody and clearly getting tired but they were stubborn. I tied the bedsheet around my body it was the only thing I could find in the house and wrapped my arms around Marcel from behind him.
“Marcel babe, stop, please that’s enough.”
“It’s never going to be enough. He’s a spy, a murderer, and a coward.”
“Says the man who sends fire demons.”
“What?” Marcel spat.
“My witches and seers all say the same thing. The creature comes from here. It’s in your soil Marcel and you know it.”
