Chapter 93. Stranded in the Woods
As the car fell off the cliff, time slowed down. I guess that is what it feels like when one is face to face-with death. The only sounds I could hear were the intense pounding of my heart and the rush of blood in my ears. I couldn’t hear Devyn as he yelled my name, neither did I feel when his hands wrapped around and my waist and pulled me to him.
All I could see was the fierce water beneath us, roaring menacingly as it prepared to swallow us. My fear intensified as I feared I was going to get a heart attack.
