“Macy.” Her name is a growl on my lips. “Open the fucking portal.”

She huffs in frustration. “Don’t you think I am trying? You aren’t the only one with a mate on the other side.”

A crowd has gathered where the portal used to be. It has been a little more than a day, but who knows how long it has been for Wren? With the portal completely closed, time will move differently between the realms. Macy has been working nonstop to reopen it, but not even her magic is working.
