“I fear that whatever might be wrong with me could be really deadly,” I mused aloud as Samantha and I rushed into the foyer.

“There's nothing wrong with you milady,” Samantha muttered behind me.

“Then why are they keeping it from me?”

“Perhaps because there's really nothing to worry about,” she replied in a gentle tone.

I wanted to believe her, but the trepidations were killing me. I couldn't help but worry about the possible worst.

I spotted a maid dusting a nearby vase and quickly approached her.
