Chapter 215. Looking for Answers

I just stood there looking at Sabrina now, not wanting to believe what she had just told me. Was it possible that Peggy actually left me and ran away?

Sabrina knew what I would do if I found out that she was lying. She knew I would punish her severely but she still insisted that Peggy was the one that told her to help our running away.

She told me how Peggy and herself had been planning it for a while, how Peggy had told her she couldn't stay with me anymore because she was scared I would do something to harm her soon, how she had begged Sabrina to make plans so that she could sneak her away, especially given the war that was happening.

She thought it was the perfect time to leave me, a time when I wouldn't be able to see what was coming, and I wouldn't know that she was leaving.

Sabrina swore that she did not hurt her, that she sent her off and that now the men she had sent with her hadn't returned and she wasn't sure they would return because she didn't
