"I’m heading to a fortress known to be impregnable. This won’t be a walk in the park, Lina, and I need you to be safe."
She looked at him and gently approached, feeling his concern in his voice and his eyes, then touched his face tenderly.
"Don’t be afraid, Leon, but I need to go."
He held her hands and asked, "Why?"
She sighed, then realized she would have to explain in a way he would understand.
"My Oriska instincts tell me I need to be here. Trying to leave is like swimming against the current, it’s difficult and painful, this is exactly where I need to be."
