Chapter 76. Lost the Courage

Emily's POV

I stepped out of the doctor's office as I made my way to the waiting area, I just had to get my prescribed medication before leaving. I was still stunned by the fact that I was pregnant. The reason I had been feeling nauseous, dizzy and always tired was because of the pregnancy.

I felt ashamed, terrible, and shocked with the news of the pregnancy. It wasn't the first time we slept together and our first time, we didn't use any protection, and he knew that. However, I didn't get pregnant after that or during our nights together, so how come I was pregnant now?

Why was the last time any different from the rest? Or was this some kind of karma for breaking up with him? Would he want the child? Several thoughts ran through my mind as I thought about it. What would be his reaction, and what would he say about the child? Whatever his reaction would be, I still had to tell. I couldn't take care of the child on my own.
