Chapter 34. Demigods
'Demigods? What is Isis getting at?' Gidian said as he sauntered around in my head.
'I don't know, but I sure am curious.'
"Demigods, aren't they offsprings of gods and humans? I'm not too keen on mythology. But what does this have to do with my family?" Hazel's voice was dazed.
"As I said before, deary, I don't know much about your mother's past, so what I'm about to tell you is mere speculations that I've made the night of her burial," Isis deadpanned.
Hazel was now giving Isis a few peculiar looks. "OK. Go on then," she instructed.
I went over to my liquor cabinet and poured us three glasses of whiskey.
"Here you go," I said as I handed Isis a glass. She thanked me and took a sip.
"Hazel," I called as I handed her a glass.
"Oh no, thank you, I don't drink, plus I'm not 21 as yet."
