Chapter 37. Rejections

Saphira’s POV

 When I carefully open my eyes again, I see a clean white ceiling.

 “Hey beauty. You were suddenly gone. What happened?" I hear a voice next to my bed. When I turn my head, I see the Head Warrior I had met when I arrived at the gate. Cleo is his name. I give him a watery smile and try to sit up but my head is spinning.

A woman in white approaches me, helps me sit up and places a pillow on my back.

 “I'm Irene, the pack doctor”, she introduces herself. “I've examined you and there's really nothing wrong with your body. You passed out from an acute shock. I gave you a sedative so you could get some rest. So now you should be all right again.” I nod and smile gratefully. She grabs her bag and immediately leaves the room, leaving me with Cleo.

 “You passed out when you saw our Beta. I know he is a bit overwhelming sometimes, but for the first time, I saw a woman literally fall at his feet," jokes Cleo. I blush when I think
