“No, don’t worry, “He said, keeping his cell phone challenges in his pockets.
I was hoping it would still work.
“It’s the least I can do,” He insisted, but she was already taking a couple of steps away.
She needed to breathe; that man was getting on her nerves and making her hormones go through a total revolution.
Luck hated the distance he was putting between them and had to muster all his self-control to keep the beast down; the last thing he wanted was to chase his partner away; he could feel the nervousness and fear coming from her; he could smell it, and that fact made him angry.
“Why are you afraid of me?” he asked, not intending to scare her with his words, but perhaps his tone was too harsh as the small female body gave a flinch, almost jumping towards the parking lot.
