“So, you need to go find where you’re going to hide her while you get her through the hot season, or you can leave her with us, and we’ll take care of her,” said Nix for the first time since they arrived, wearing a smirk on his face.

Brother” in” law, you are a big piece of ass, I thought, unable to hide my distaste for his words.

“I can perfectly take care of her; you will feel it, too. I can’t allow you to be around her when that happens,” I replied, and my wolf growled, also angry at the pair’s proposal, and then I remembered. “She already had her first menses. Why was she with you at that time? Estrus happens several times a year.”
