“What are you?” he whispered, slowly feeling the terror begin to seep into his bones, everything he knew, his sanity... Slowly beginning to wobble in his head, “Are you a demon?”

A few seconds ago, she would have felt ridiculous asking something like that. She still felt that way, but she couldn’t dismiss what she had just seen.

“It has to be some kind of black magic, a pact with the devil... That’s it!” Charlotte began to back away as he shook his head. “You’re the devil.”

Erian closed his eyes tightly; it seemed that it would not be easy to support his partner.

“I am not the devil, nor a demon, neither do I have an affinity for black magic; personally, I don’t believe in its existence,” He said, taking a step towards her.
