Megan's POV

There, in the center of the kitchen floor, was all my underwear. Bras, panties, and stockings had been piled in a neat little heap. And the neat little pile had been “marked” with semen. Repeatedly. So many times that the semen left milky trails on the floor tile. And in the middle of those traces, someone had bent down and drawn a heart in the thick liquid. A message to me. I knew from whom: Marcus. Fucking bastard.

Disgusting.

I held back the vomit, looking away. He had broken into my house while I was sleeping and left me this sticky message as a clear reminder that I was not safe from him. How the hell did he get into my house? But the message was clear. That I couldn’t hide even in my own home. Judging by the lingering smell in the air and the... dampness of the message, he had been there recently.
