Megan's POV

“Adam, I...” I started, but I didn’t quite know what to say; I couldn’t back out of our agreement.

He smiled arrogantly

“What, is this too much for you, Megan? Too much for an alpha?” she snorts.

I narrowed my eyes and dug my claw into his hand, satisfied by his slight grimace of pain. He didn’t let go of our joined hands and didn’t allow me to do it. I could have struggled a little until I did it, but it would mean making a scene in front of the herds, and that wouldn’t help my next announcement.
