Dana’s POV

I knocked twice and waited for his call before entering. He was seated in the adjacent room that he used when he wanted to study in his suite. He was seated on the cushion with some papers on the table in front of him. When I entered, he looked up from what he was reading and looked at me. He dropped the paper on his hand and got up. He seemed surprised to see me.

And that was what I wanted.

“Dana.”

“Thor.” I looked him over. It hadn’t been so long since I saw him last, but it felt like it had, and he seemed like he had changed too. He looked...more handsome. Like he was doing well without me.

“I’m surprised to see you here.”

I smiled as warmly as I could. Seeing him again standing in front of me brought back so many memories. The freshest being the way he had humiliated me in front of the castle dwellers. I probably won’t ever forget about it. Thor could be a difficult man sometimes and overly principled.
